How long would you wait for true love?
Someday, Someday, an all-new standalone romance by International bestselling author Emma Scott, is LIVE!
„Every minute you’re alive is a second chance to start over.”
No words. I’m completely speechless and so in awe that I probably have a silly face, but I don’t care. Yes, after finishing this book I feel reborn, but it doesn’t change the fact that Emma Scott has wrung all possible emotions from me along the way. Someday, Someday was my first M/M romance and I’m so glad that I reached for this story. I love books that are so well written that I feel the same as the main characters and believe me, Emma Scott reflected every emotion so perfectly, that my body and mind completely disconnected from reality and functioned in the rhythm of the events of this story. And there were plenty of them.
Silas and Max … there are no words that can describe the pain, suffering and compassion that I felt about these characters. Most of the time I wanted to wrap them in bubble wrap and hide them from the world so that nothing bad would happen to them again. They both went through their own kind of hell and reading about it made my heart break into a million pieces. Emma presented their fate in such a real way that I was shocked, furious and devastated. Someday, Someday should be a MANDATORY read that will open the eyes of all homophobes and ignorants.
„Maybe what’s really unnatural is hating someone for a reason that has nothing to do with you. For a difference or preference you don’t share.” – SO MUCH THIS!
But aside of the emotional punch in the gut, this book is also a spark of hope. It’s the proof that even in the darkest moments you can find a reason to stop just existing and start living. To be happy. To love and be loved regardless of circumstances and accepted ‚norms’.
Where Max is the hero I loved instanly for his selflessness, kindness and generous heart, Silas’ change had the greatest impact on me. It was wonderful to see his character evolve. And their love… oh my heart… Although the whole story kept giving me emotional beating, the love connecting Max and Silas caused such a big smile on my face that my cheeks hurt. It’s so sweet and heartwarming, even though the road to their happiness was so difficult and twisty.
Someday, Someday is an important book that deals with serious topics. It’s poignant, impactful and eye-opening. Emma Scott created a masterpiece that should be added to the reading assignments in school, because every person in this world need to read this story. And believe me, rating this book using stars is ludicrous, because Someday, Someday is not something that can be assessed. This book will soak into your bones and change your worldview.
Max Kaufman was kicked out of his home as a teen and his life has been an uphill battle ever since. From addiction and living on the streets, to recovery and putting himself through nursing school, he’s spent the last ten years rebuilding his shattered sense of self. Now he’s taken a job as a private caretaker to Edward Marsh III, the president and CEO of one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Max soon learns Marsh’s multi-billion-dollar empire is a gold and diamond-encrusted web of secrets and lies.
The longer Max works and lives with the Marsh family, the tighter the secrets tangle around him. And his heart—that he’s worked so hard to protect—falls straight into the hands of the distant, cold, and beautiful son of a dynasty…
Silas Marsh is set to inherit the family fortune, but his father is determined his heir be the “perfect” son. Before Silas can take over the company and end its shady business practices, he must prove himself worthy…and deny his true nature.
Silas must choose: stand up to his father by being true to himself and his undeniable feelings for Max. Or pretend to be someone he is not in order to inherit everything. Even if it means sacrificing a chance at happiness and real love.
